1. Be Authentic and Honest

Honesty builds trust. Provide accurate information and describe items truthfully.

  • Do: Use your real student identity and accurate profile details.
  • Do: Describe items honestly, including defects or limitations.
  • Do: Provide clear delivery timelines and return terms.
  • Don't: Create fake accounts or falsify information.

2. Be Respectful and Safe

Communicate politely in chats and reviews. Harassment, hate speech, bullying, or threats are not tolerated.

Do not post content that targets individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or nationality.

3. Transact Safely on Swivel

Keep transactions within the app to stay protected by escrow and dispute processes.

  • Do: Keep communications and payments inside Swivel.
  • Don't: Share personal contact info in listings or ask for external payments.

Meet in safe, public places when exchanging items in person, and avoid sharing sensitive personal details.

4. List Responsibly

Only list items or services you are legally allowed to sell. Prohibited items (weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods, exam materials, and other illegal items) are not allowed.

Do not list items that are unsafe, recalled, or that violate intellectual property rights.

5. Protect Privacy and Intellectual Property

Do not post private information or content that you do not have the right to share. Respect copyrights, trademarks, and privacy rights.

If you receive a takedown request or report, cooperate with our review process and provide relevant documentation.

6. No Scams or Manipulation

Scams, deceptive listings, fake reviews, and dispute manipulation are not allowed.

Do not post misleading listings, inflate prices through coordinated behavior, or attempt to influence reviews through incentives.

7. Keep Reviews and Messages Honest

Reviews should reflect genuine experiences. Do not post fake reviews or retaliatory feedback. Do not spam other users or send repeated unsolicited messages.

8. Consequences and Reporting

Violations may result in warnings, content removal, suspension, or permanent account bans. If you see abusive or illegal behavior, report it through in-app reporting or contact support.
